1) Rex met their mother at Fish Creek Canyon. He was there with friends, who were all trying to make themselves dive off a forty foot cliff. While they were trying to get up the nerve to dive, Rose Mary walked up dressed in a bathing suit and wearing red lipstick.... Rex was smitten. Rose Mary dived off the cliff like it was nothing..... Rex followed. Six months later they were married. Note, when her children swoon over the obvious romance of their relationship, Rose Mary says that she married their father for two reasons; one... to get away from her mother; two, because Rex wouldn't take no for an answer. He was persistent.
