would you want to be the keeper of memories?why?why not?

I certainly wouldn't want to, especially for the community in the Giver. Taking on thousands of memories would not only be a great emotional burden (probably cause you to go insane or kill yourself like the Giver's daughter did) but I would be contributing to the rest of the community having the emotional IQ of a ten year old.
