What would be considered the "exposition" in the first chapter of The Giver

The exposition of the first chapter of the Giver is the introduction. It is in the introduction (exposition) that we are introduced to the two sides of the community. The first side is appealing, the other, a bit upsetting..... none-the-less, the expostion leads us up to the Ceremony of Twelve.
