what books should the receiver of memories have on his library

The many books in the Annex represent the stored knowledge and memories of humanity, which apparently are kept just in case they will be needed. I'm sure the library was with history books, science books, encyclopedias, great literature..... the Receiver would eventually need all of these resources at his disposal in order to accurately make recommendations to the elders.
