The concept of "love" is controlled and superficial. "Love" remains only within the context that the Elders have given to the community. Parents are given children and sexual urges are dampened through taking pills. “Sharing feelings” regulates intimacy. The concept of love is merely used to facilitate the type of conformist society that the Elder's want.
