Memories do give wisdom, especially the painful memories. We learn from the past. Memories are what make us who we are. We can handle situations because we have memories to help us through them. Difficult memories teach us how to cope with difficult situations. Not having difficult experiences is why most of the people in the community are so emotionally illiterate.
