Traits foe Reef

Reef is defined by his moral ambiguity. On the one hand, he's a young guy, and it's sometimes hard to remember that each action has untold consequences. But, on the other hand, he chose to "throw the first stone," which means that his anger was judgmental and vindictive. By the end of the novel, he will have to adjust his sense of justice, because he is on the path that leads to becoming a villain.
