why does anne feel it is better to talk to herself than to others at the dinner table

Anne talks to herself more at dinner table than others because she's perceived as less chatty. She was labelled "chatty" in school.

Also Anne feels that it will be better than to talk to others because at times she feels that people will not take her seriously and the others feel that she talks toomuch

Firsly, no one is annoyed with her chatter. Secondly, she doesn't need to worry about anyones opinions
