Why do you think anne feels distance from her mother

I think that Anne think distance from her mother because her mother offered to say her prayer with her while her father was not able to . Nooooooooooooo

Anne is simply growing up and going through the period most girls experience where the butt heads with their mothers. Mothers correct, daughters argue..... hormones rage. Margot has already gone through this period, and thus, she and her mother are very close, whereas, Anne feels like an outsider.
