The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank

Characterization Help

The Diary of Anne Frank (the play)

Are Mr. and Mrs. Frank considered round or flat characters?

Are Mr. and Mrs. Van Daan considered round or flar characters?

I am confused about the round or flat thing, especially with Peter, because we have a general knowlege of him but we don't know him.

Flat characters only have one or two predominating traits to them. I think Mr. and Mrs. Frank had more to them than flat characteristics. They had personal struggles that they had to contend with. Each had their own personalities, which Anne identifies in the book.
