Are you talking about early in the book? Before they go into hiding? How they will survive in hiding? We would need more specific information to be sure. Obviously, Miep is very important to the story. Anne has already learned how unfortunate it is to be a Jew; she wonders, undoubtedly, how things will progress if the Nazi treatment continues.
