Anne's sense of humor shines through in her writing, but I don't think it was as obvious to those who weren't as privy to her internal thoughts and emotions as we are. Her descriptions of those around her are humorous, as are the descriptions she provides of herself and her changing body. Anne isn't outwardly funny, her wit is found in her abilty to convey her feeling in words.
