Anne often feels as if Margot is the favorite child.... the perfect one. The differences in their personalities often causes conflict. As Anne matures, these feeling change, and she and Margot become close.

Anne idolizes her father.... she's a daddy's girl. Mr. Frank can do no wrong.

Anne is not close to her mother. She finds her mother cold and unaffectionate.... far different than her father. She also believes there's nothing she can do to please her mother, tus, they often fight. Anne is the typical teenage girl, who emphasizes all of her mother's faults at the expense of her goodness.
