The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank

Anne understands the morbid realities of war. On some level she understands the futility of trying to survive the war as a Jew. I wonder if this is a little foreshadowing, perhaps unconsciously, on Anne's part.

I hate school too. I had this question for a school assignment so i just copied and pasted the question into google. Super glad this website came up!!😂

i think she realized the war was serious

The effect of the repetition in Anne's statement that “All we can do is wait...Jews and Christians alike are waiting, the whole world is waiting, and many are waiting for death” is that it shows how Anne Frank knows the full extent of the war and on a certain level knows her chances of surviving the war as a Jew. According to the diary, she says how she and her family is "luckier than millions of people" which shows how she knows what's happening outside in the war and knows how lucky she is to have her family and stay safe.
