Why does Fayge not go along with the plan?

Fayge decides not to risk trying to escape.

Shmuel is a part of the group attempting to escape......

which one is it she doesn't want to leave shmuel or doesn't want to risk escaping

She decides she doesn't want to risk the escape attempt..... Shmuel attemtps the escape and is executed. Fayge throws herself in front of the soldiers who are going to shoot Shmuel and is killed along with him.

Becaues Fayge would rather be in the dark wolf she knows then go into the dark wolf she does not know.
