I don't remember the film that well, but according to the book, Hannah went through the motions. Her faith was not a priority, meaning her religion wasn't a priority. She didn't want to attend the Seder, but she did. She also helped her brother remember the Four Questions from the Haggadah, so he wouldn't be nervous. None-the-less, in the third chapter, we learn that Hannah is bored.
