In the book "The Devil's Arithmetic" Hannah, Gitl, Ester, and the others are going to Schmuel's wedding. The violinist plays ahead of the wagon. Singing occurs and everyone is in a good and happy mood.
On the way Fayge gets into the wagon with them and she is introduced to Hannah as her future aunt. She tells Hannah that she is scared to get married and Hannah tells her that Schmuel said the same thing.
Fayge looks worried so Hannah explains that he had said that he was not afraid of being married just getting married. This reveals Fayge. She grabs Hannah's arm and tells her that they will be best friends. She wishes Hannah a long and happy life.
