What agreement does he ultimately do with the devil?

Old Scratch (the Devil) agrees to give Tom the pirate's treasure in exchange for his soul.... to be collected. He also insists that Tom use the money to further his (old Scratch) cause. This includes buying a slave ship, setting up a broker's shop, and driving other people to bankruptcy.
