Why does Christopher's father swear so much?does anyone else find it odd.

I find it very weird how hw swears alot all the time infront of christopher.

Chris's father is under a lot of pressure. His wife has left him and he must raise an autistic boy. Chris's father feels the need to vent his frustrations in this way.
