Discuss the relationship between father and son in the novel.

Christopher's father is loving and dedicated to his son. He has learned over the years to adhere to the rigid schedule required for autistic children, and also to note each of his likes or dislikes in order to reduce any unneccessary stress. I believe his father copes with his condition to the best of his ability, although he does have problems with anger issues.
