This is because witchcraft seems to have broken out in Salem and he needs an expert to hunt witches. Parris is also trying to cover his behind!

Reverend Parris is sent for Reverend Hale from Beverly, because Reverend parris believes that his daughter was a victim of witchcraft and Revrend Hale has studied witchcraft to the extreme.
