Tituba is an easy target or scapegoat for Abigail. Tituba is a black slave girl who people in the village could easily accept was playing with dark magic. apparently Reverend Parris had purchased her in Barbados. This makes her an easy target for speculations about witchcraft, sorcery...Reverent Hale does not daccuse Abigail in the same way now that Tituba looks at fault.
