Which three depositions are presented to the judges and on whose behalf?

How do the judges discourage defenses of the accused?

Giles Corey and Francis Nurse submit a deposition to the court on behalf of Elizabeth, Martha, and Rebecca. It is signed by ninety-one landowners and attests to the good character of each of the three women.

Mary Warren signed a deposition in which she stated that she had never seen familiar spirits and that the girls were all lying.

Giles Corey's first deposition attested to the fact that Thomas Putnam bragged his daughter had given him a great gift of land when George Jacobs was accused of witchcraft.

The judges attempt to discourage this defense by claiming the depositions are an attack on the court.
