What is some textual evidence from The Crucible that this is a story of a tragic hero?

John Proctor can be seen as a tragic hero. He is honest, upright, straight forward, and reflective. His tragic flaw, however, is that he is lustful. He had an affair with Abigail, his young maid- servant. This plagues him for much of the play and has tragic consequences.
