The Crucible

In the play, what are three examples that show john proctor is respected, and in what three ways is he feared, and finally what are three examples that show he was determined!

I need examples and quotes if possible from throughout the whole.

John proctor respected because he is fiercely independent and has raised a productive farm by simple hard work and intelligence. He speaks his mind and often holds a mirror so that others may see their own hypocrisy. He is a fair man of few words who speaks only when there is something important to say.
