Tituba is being accused of witchcraft. She is a slave girl so nobody will take her side. She is the perfect scapegoat for others like Abigail to unload blame. Tituba is, however, no dummy. She quickly accepts judgment of being the Devil's servant so she can implicate others and seek forgiveness.
