At the end of the play, when Hale urges Elizabeth to make a last-minute appeal to her husband, how does she react?

She refuses because he has “his goodness now. God forbid I take it from him.”  Proctor has finally redeemed himself in Elizabeth's eyes: she does not want to be the reason to blemish it again by convincing him to lie.
