The role of grudges and personal rivalries.

hey. i need to write a paper on the the roles that grudgres and personal rivalries play in the witch trial hysteria. i would like some input, any ideas?

There were a lot of land disputes.  Read the parts about Putnam and his dealings.

Also, Mrs. Putnam was terribly jealous that all but one of her babies had died while other women had large, healthy families.  Rather than simply understanding that there must have been a genetic flaw or simply bad health in her family, she tries to blame others for her misfortune.
