I believe the most important moral to this story is that in the end.... good will always triumph over evil. I don't really know if that counts because much of this story has to do with revenge.......... but I give the goodness award to Mercedes and Albert.......... they really are GOOD people. Mercedes tells her son the truth to avoid tragedy and her son accepts that truth and walks away from a duel......
