The concept of brotherhood in this poem might actually be translated to be friendship or even love of humanity. In this poem, we see a transcendence of race.... the ability to look past skin color and embrace people.... not their color. None-the-less, even with the theme of brotherhood at the forefront, there are obvious nuances that do not allow us the ability to infer the black boy's tone.... the manner in which he's speaking. His words may be charitable and even well meaning, but there's also a possibilty that sarcasm might be the dominating tone of his speech. I guess we will never know.
