who is brecht in the play

this is in refference to the caucasian chalk circle play , i want to know who is the brecht in the play.

Brecht is the name of the author of this play.

I do not believe that any of the story's characters are meant to be the author.

I don't think brecht is part of the characters as he himself is the author of the play
