Why does Holden decide to leave Pencey immediately?

I think Holden's reasons to leave Pencey is the culmination of a number of conflicts that he has. He feels overwhelmed by, what he perceives to be, the hypocrisy of the people there. Stradlater joking about Jane, his bad marks....are all part of what isolates him at school; he feels suffocated and wants to run away.
