Truth-
none of the characters can be trusted to speak the truth

Lies-All are, to some extent, deceptive, twisting reality in order to manipulate one another and to delude themselves. Most deceptive is Davies he is a liar which the goes into the next theme of fanasty- he attempts to win Aston's respect by pretending to have a past that is not true.
