The Canterbury Tales

Why are The Canterbury Tales unfinished?

I'm doing a history assigment, and the personality I chose was Geoffrey Chaucer. Part of my assignment is to "conduct an interview". And I thought that maybe one of my questions to Chaucher could be why one of his most famous works have gona unfinished! If you have other suggestions for questions, that would be awesome, too! (:

I would ask about Chaucer's view on the church. Many of the characters and tales talk about the corruption and hypocrisy of the church.
