What passage would best relate to the pardners characteristics in the Pardners tale?

The Pardoner says, Radix malorum est Cupiditas or "Greed is the root of all evil" a few times in his prologue and tale. I find this very ironic summing up the Pardoner quite well. He is fully aware how corrupt and greedy he is yet he continues to use people for their money.
