Why isn't Gretel in the League of Young Girls?

gretel is the proper age for League of Young Girls, a branch of Hitler's youth organization, why do you think she is not a member?

Gretel and Bruno have just moved to Auschwitz or "Out With." There are no youth leagues or neighboring homes in this area.
