Bruno is proud of his father, believing that his father's importance to the Fury has led to his position as Out-With. Although Bruno doesn't have a lot of interaction with his father over the course of the novel, we can infer from the text that he respects him. From Bruno's father's reaction to his son's disappearance..... we also know that he loved his son.
