1) Kotler spends too much time at Bruno's house.

2) Kotler laughs with Bruno's mother, something that strikes him as inappropriate.

3) Kotler makes fun of Bruno's novel. He belittles him.

4) Bruno's mother calls Kotler precious.

5) Kotler seems to threaten Shmuel. Bruno doesn't stick up for him.
