I just want to know the conflict of The Boy in the Striped Pajamas and how it relates to the theme.

My theme is despite race, religion, and nationality, we all deserve the same amount of dignity and human rights.

Bruno, the son of a high-ranking Nazi officer, finds a kindred spirit in a Jewish child prisoner. Bruno befriends Smuel and quickly realizes that Smuel is no less deserving of a good life than he (Bruno) enjoys. Bruno is willing to stand by his friend at great cost to himself.
