Why did Isla Hermann tolerate Liesel?

Ilsa was mourning the loss of her son and had shut herself inside of her home. Liesel intrigued her, she gave Ilsa something new to focus on, and she provided her with something she needed..... the feeling of being needed and the ability to help.
