What finally laid the ghost of Liesel´s brother to rest?

Michael Holzapfel, one of Frau Holtzapfels sons, kills himself after delivering the news of his brother's death. The guilt he experienced because he survived was too much for him. This event allows Liesel to lay her brother's ghost to rest.
