What do colors represent to the narrator?

Colors of the day......

"People observe the colors of a day only at it's beginnings and it's ends, but it's quite clear that a day merges through a multitude of shades and intonations, with each passing moment. A single hour can consist of a thousand different colors... I make it a point to notice them."

The color white.....

Innocence, new life, winter, the death of a child (Page 6)

Red..... blood, death

Black...... death, evil. darkness
