Death is objective yet he has his sarcastic moments which he uses as humour. He is interesting because we are all connected to him at some point in our life. DEath attempts to remain detached about his job. He is so busy during this time that he does make some keen observations about the greatness and depravity of human nature. He finds this paradox perplexing. Death isn't so partisan as he is confused about the aftermath of so many historical incidences that the reader might be familiar with.
