In order to really answer this question, you must first define which of the characteristics of monstrous you want to find. Frankenstein's monster has many of these characteristics, but Shelley shows them in specific episodes throughout the novel. So, for example, when the monster is animated, she describes Victor Frankenstein as shocked by the hideous appearance of the monster which he brought to life.
