This story has a different structure than the others that we have read. There are a lot of episodes not directly related to the Little Red Riding Hood of this Carter story (see pages 110 to the first part of 113). Why do you think Carter chose this approach? What was the impact? Can you seen any symbolism in any of the episodes recounted? What themes do any of them suggest?
