Petey and Meg have a complacent marriage. Neither of them is completely happy, but they're both happy to leave things as they are.

I support that Petey and Meg are happily married because they have made a life together over 60years. They used to each other's personalities. Petey tolerate her childishness;cares for her and protects her in all ways.
