Why did Ester throw the clothes off the rood?

I'm presently workingon a film alternative guide to SP's life showing in England showing places she visited in UK and lived etc Also looking at the pagan inflences of Th on SP's work.

I'd also like to inclde ascene where Ester trow the clottttthes off hotel roof.

1.Did she throw they off because they were too expensive and she imgined they were too good for her?

2 She didn't deserve them?
