How is the Ratignolles' marriage different from the Pontelliers'?

Adele is happily married. She is a devoted wife and mother. Edna differs from Adele. She loves her children but not in the nurturing way Adele does. She looks after her children but does not love them in the way a "mother woman" is expected to. Edna has a marriage of convenience. She does not really love Leonce.
