Are the stories pure adventure, moral stories, fables, fantasies, a mix of all these, or something else?

The stories in the Arabian Nights are a mixture of all of the above. As the perfect example of Arabic literature, the Arabian Nights are fantasies which encompass moral teachings, stories of jihad (the faith), accompanied by an abundance of humor. The collection also contains parables and fables.
