How does Huck become a hero?

Huck becomes a hero after hearing Injun Joe threaten Widow Douglass. When he hears of Injun Joe's plan, he immediately goes to the Old Welshman for help. The Welshman and his sons then rush to Widow Douglass' home to save her from the man's threats.
